Remarks
Grandma’s house! Bright and sunny, this charming split-level home has been freshly painted and is in move-in condition. The kitchen is spacious and adjoins a breakfast room with a lovely cathedral ceiling bringing in the sunshine. There’s a formal dining area, a large living room with a bay window, and solid hardwood floors. Yes, it needs a little updating, but it’s in great condition. The mechanicals have been regularly maintained, the roof is new, the bones are excellent! No repairs needed. Everything is neat and functional. Move right in then make it your own delightful home in a peaceful neighborhood. A little tweak here and there, a nip and a tuck, and it will be thoroughly yours! Just a little lipstick…
Located just off Rte 9W, on the Newburgh, Marlboro border, the location is hard to beat with everything close at hand. It’s just a few minutes’ drive to the bustling Route 300 shopping area where supermarkets, big-box stores, and all types of restaurants and shops can be found. The vibrant Newburgh waterfront with its impressive variety of restaurants and galleries, and the thriving marina where boating, jet-skiing and kayaking are in full swing in the summer months, are just a short drive away. So many things to do here! Enjoy the bike paths and walkways along the waterfront or take a river cruise on one of the paddleboats anchored there. Stop for a while to listen to whatever musicians may be performing at the bandstand along the way. Stroll up to Grand Street with its magnificent historical homes or pop over to Newburgh’s East End. A renaissance is happening there with cafes, funky restaurants, galleries, antique stores popping up and a thriving artists community and galleries.
The whole of Orange County is thriving. Hop into the car for a 20-minute drive to mega-shopping at Woodbury Commons with hundreds of name-brand outlet stores or take in outdoor concerts, hockey and football games at West Point. Dia, the museum for the Dia Art Foundation's collection of art from the 1960s to the present, sits on the banks of the Hudson River in Beacon, New York, just across the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. The brand new Legoland New York is opening soon in Goshen a few miles away. Cideries, distilleries, wineries and micro-breweries are scattered throughout the county offering craft tap rooms, live music and casual dining. Explore the excellent farm-to-table restaurants and countless farms and farm markets dotted around the countryside. It’s about an hour from NYC, so it works for commuters too, or weekenders. With easy access to Interstates 84 and 87, Stewart International Airport, the Newburgh-Beacon Ferry service to the Metro North railroad station at Beacon to Grand Central station, and bus service to NYC’s Port authority, the location is amazing.
